does anyone know where i can buy the new turtle wax ice from as it looks quite good stuff and im thinking about spending a few bob

You tried Halfords or Ebay would be next bet

this was demo'd at BTCC, and although we didnt spend ages looking the demo wasnt that impressive

Take a look at smart wax or Auto Glym or Meguires for similar products as IIRC the turtle wax is very expensive

Prob best buying from a shop or better still a show as they have knockdown prices, ebay may be cheaper but by the time its posted out you may as well have gone to halfords

dude speak to uk-dave that guy knows his stuff when it comes to polish and chances are hes used every wax/polish you can think of

Buy all mine and everything associated online, car shampoo,microfibres,buy the meguiars sponge applicators from shops if i just want them as dont warrant the carriage charges.

Use all them places and a few others theyre all pretty good service wise just polished bliss and tim at clean your car that occasionally run out of stuff.

Even if ya just use them places above for reference then buy off e-bay theyre handy.

(wouldnt bother with the turtle wax ice though at roughly the same price reckon either of these below would be better personally)

To be fair though depends wether youre after an actual polish/sealant or wax ?polishes are abrasive and flat the surface aswell as bringing the colour bk on old paint,a sealant further enhances the gloss and seals the polished finish in,remaining imperfections can usually be hidden by a glaze as its almost like a filler for fine swirls whilst adding more depth, a wax will enhance whats already there some better than others-treat wax as more for protection than shine as ya tend to find some sealants can outshine most waxes.

do you have to polish first then use sealant or can you just use sealant?

what would you reccomend on white?

im a lazy fucker and just use sealent and i dont think it turns out to bad for an old car? but i know its not the proper way

i do belive you polish them seal it ant but im sure dave will be on to correct me haha

and yes al is right, u polish then seal it afterwards.

Ideally as al says polish then sealant just depends on the condition of the paint,if ya starting from scratch i`d recommend claying first aswell.
Some polishes are a 3 stage job from coarse through to a fine polish then sealant/glaze/wax depends how far you want to go really,really down to how much time you want to spend doing it/money on products.

Dont overclay your car though meguiars clay is pretty coarse and will strip previous layers of wax/shine i probably only use meguiars quick clay 3 times a yr but when i do will prob spend 2days getting the shine bk to where it were previously,if you consider ya car in pretty good condition shine wise and dont wanna spend forever building the shine bk up try sonus green fine detailing clay.it wont reverse the results of your work so far-i intend getting some meself soon.

Like i say depends how far you want to go polish wise however will recommend poorboys professional polish its coarse but not like t-cut, is still a bit awkward to buff off but i usually start with this.

Then as a cleanser polish use metallic polishwax this stuffs a great cleanser you really can see the muck coming off and is easy to use/leaves a good shine.(i use white terry cloth applicators with it)

Just as a note always try an use a microfibre/terry cloth pad/applicator with polishes and the meguiars sponge applicators with sealants and waxes-sealants and waxes are just layers on top of the paint however a polish needs to be worked harder for the best results and a sponge just isnt as abrasive.

One of the best sealants ive used lately is blackfire wet diamond all finish paint protection use this and build up a few layers you will be amazed used a few times can hardly see a wax being beneficial its that shiny,other than for protection.

My favourite wax is collinite 915 collinite 915

Bear in mind you can use sealant bk over the top of a wax for great results i know ive tried(though nobody will recommend this)

have to recommend chemical guys hardcore wax, use it on mine everytime and its lasts for aaaaages. also use poorboys wheel sealent which is damn good aswell.

Cheers for that which site is cheaper for blackfires then ?
