TRAX 2007 Show Report

Well!

A early start again for the maxxd crew travelling south to the legendary Silverstone Circuit to attend what now seems to be THE largest modified car show in the UK.
Some of the more stupid/hardcore (Delete as appropriate Icon_wink) members camped either Fri or saturday or both but the majority met at Trowell services at 6am!!

After a little bit of messing around and waiting for Clare we set off. (However whoever was first out of Trowell and lead left Carl and Cindy Behind in the petrol station.)

On route Ant went for a "Spirited" chase with a red scooby, which nearly ended in tears ,leading Gangsta al having to change his undies and D getting in with Cindy!!!!!

anyways a good hearty Maccies breakfast set us up for the day then we headed to the show area.

Got in and to the stand, not quite as good place as last year but was in a priime location. Managed to get some kind of stand plan sorted (However a little bit of paitence from mebers wouldnt go a miss - got fed up with a certain someone moaning "Where is our car going you have sorted everyone else" every 2 mins.) also if you could co-operate whilst its being organised and just allow us to get stuffin place that would help. Finally getting there first DOESNT mean you park where YOU want so be prepared to move if we thing another car needs to be in its place - Thank you!

anyways weather was great show was massive and great lots of action including Track, 0-60 Strip, Drift Demos, trade stands and club stands.

Here are a few members Chilling under the maxxd marquee:

It was sunny honestly....Just try telling Clare!:

The 2 Big Cabs attracted there usual attention to the front of our stand:

Stand music was yet again provided by Scotts (War Wounded) Xsara:

Briliant Show, like the good old days, everyone having a giggle under the Marquee.

Drifting was awesome, I'm like a kid when watching it with all the "oooh's" and "aaah's"

I had THE BEST show food ever, Thai green curry from this little Thai woman running a little snap wagon thing on her own.

Although in my opinion, by the time it comes to the end of the show season, you've seen pretty much all there is to see, it was good to see (as IIRC Trax was originally a Ford show), so many concourse and modified fords.

Couple of things spoilt the show for me a bit, having to leave early, but there's nothing you can do sometimes, and the bloody pink JAPPED up E30....................GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Oh Wardo is a Leg-End for following that fella with the 'fro wig on;

Dudes Mate: "I think he's following you!"

Anyway, in conclusion, a most excellent show dudes, NEz will be uploading our pics shortly Icon_biggrin

and of course this wouldnt be a show report without my Now famous Top 10 of the show awards!

It is ver very hard with soo many cars to choose from and such a lot too look at but here we go in no particular order:

Ok ok ok so the first one is a VW..But its 100% THE best Caddy i have seen, its turbo'd its perfectly painted and looks the part worthy of my Show top 10:

Next up, this EG civic Coupe used to be green and now sits in a sweet new colour, loaded with Audiobahn ice and very very clean interior:

There were litterally hundereds of Scoobies there, and allthough im not a fan of the bug eye shape...this stood out to me as the best of the bunch:

Speed culture make some awsome civics...but nothing with more presence than this Sweet Bright Green EP hatch:

Next on the Top 10...Now we are all used to wild Escort Cabs but i found this one and it is just 100% Mint, sure alan and carl have looked at it and stole some ideas too for clare and cindys...

Ok so im biased with this one, and it aint stricly a show car but Driftworks brought there New S15 Silvia..and its absaloutly gorgeous! it is almost a shame its going have the arse thrashed off it and drifted:

New to the "Show" Scene was this awsome clio, very bright every inch of it modified with some original and custom touches!

I spotted this towards the end of the show, its Konceptz Pug 406..lots of work gone into this and is very very cool:

Next is a very unlikly winner but i couldnt help but think it looked sooo right!
Yes its a corsa, yes its not had much done..but its spot on!

Finally..and my personall favorite of the show was this simply stunning Pug 106, the interior was amazing, the bodywork was flawless top car of the show for me:

We didn't even know you were there Mrs with us being the last ones to arrive and you not being in the car park when we got there, you'll have to slap whoever it was who lead the convoy out without you!

we all got there ok, so let's not be falling out.

Not that I blame Carl or Cindy BUT next time you go to the garage or anywhere for that matter, TELL A GROWN UP.

I was having a fag when the 'go go go mad scatter' started. On a side note, that always reminds me of that bit in The Fast & the Furious where they scatter at that airfield type thing - all those cars moving at once...

.....anyhoooooooooo

there were some mint cars in maccies carpark when we got there - like a mini-meet before Trax Icon_smile - that pink mini was MEGA!!

I dont think there's any falling out, I'd be pissed off too if we'd have got left behind, like we did when we pulled in to help Kell on our way to USC.

We got there first though *snigger* Icon_lol
