The Last 5 1/2 hrs of my life...

Have been spent Cleaning the Nissan in preperation for tommorows show....It Looks amazing!

1. To start with the car wasnt Really dirty but had'nt been cleaned since Nationals and i pissed it down on the way home from there so dirty road water and pollen from trees outside my house had setled on it

2. First job was to give the car a pre wash rinse, this removes and grit, gravel or any other debris that could cause scratches in the paint

(Check my New Rear lights Icon_wink)

3. Organised my Gear as most know i swear by Auto Glym so here is my collection..

4. Before washing i treat any nasty bugs/tar etc to Auto Glym Intensive Tar Remover

5. Using the 2 Bucket method (Right full of Auto Glym Bodywork Shampoo and Conditioner)(Left bucket just cold water) wash the car fully including inside petrol cap, door shuts and wheel face.

Also note i dont use a sponge i use a Wash Mit again to reduce scratches

6. With the car's bodywork clean it now stands like this

A good rinse with the hose gets rid of any soapy residue before i moved on to the wheels.

7. Using Auto Glym Wheel Cleaner i used liberally to loosen brake dust before working it in with a cut up sponge

8. Once dry i gave the wheels a coat of Auto Glym Metal Polish to protect followed by a coat of Auto Glym Wheel Seal to prevent build up of brake dust finally i dressed all 4 tyres witrh Auto Glym Intensive Tyre Dressing

9. I had to dry the car so i used Auto Glym Aqua Dry Shamois

Drying the car fully is no easy task so a little tip, when i thought i had got it all i drove the car to the top of the road and back again and all the little water hidden runs out!

10. With the car drying i started with polish, the windows were attacked first inside and out using Auto Glym Car Glass Polish, then buffed off with a clean polish pad

11. Time for polish...No suprise its Auto Glym Super Resin Polish working a panel at a time going in straight lines

Once dried it was buffed off using Auto Glym's Excellent Hi Tech Finishing Cloth

12. It was then treated to a coat of Auto Glym Extra Gloss Protection which helps keep the polish err polished!

13. Whilst the extra gloss was doing its thing i had the mats hoovered and Using Auto Glym Vinal and Rubber Care i set about all the window trims, front and rear numberplate holders, front splitter and dashboard

Looks stunning and very thorough job olivier!! People neglect polishing the glass but when it makes up so much of the cars surface area it should never be forgotton.

However im not impressed with the choice of tyre dressin, proper tyre dressing thread to come soon from me Icon_smile

LeeWestwood & Troy for mod, we'd sort this site out Icon_smile
