someone fill me in on scoobys please
other night i was busy away rushing from job to job, when on a dual carriage way theres a subaru at side of me, looked like a typical one, gold wheels, loud exhaust etc anyways he decides to give it some but i let him coz we were near a speed cam, anyway hes infront of me going ultra slow, so i goes into left lane and puts foot down, so does he but im catching him SOOO easily, then the tit pulls across me and i had to slam on, called me a twat! nob end, anyway he pulls behind me and puts full beams on, so i put my foot down to get away and he did but i left him for dust? now my fab is quick but not exactly subaru quick, do they make some slow arse version and hes tarted it up to be like wrx or whatever they are ones?

there are also 1.6 and 1.8 versions and the uk spec turbo is less power than the wrx the powers vary from different years and versions etc, some arent as fast as you think, either way nice one for showing him up

You`d be suprised how average std-ish uk turbo classics are when already rolling against some other cars, ive struggled with some civic type r`s etc basically theyre good from a launch but ppl`s best bet (if ya wanna have a go) is catch one movin-from a set of lights you`ll struggle against 4wd obviously but once rolling the propshaft/rear diff/centrediff/2 extra driveshafts all zap power so after a launch lets say in a straight line against a hot hatch of say approx 200bhp(and lighter-power to weight etc) scooby owners if std-ish are on to a loser-mine only starts off with 217bhp-would guess its only 240bhp now full decat/filter/no remap-theyre quick but unless a sti not amazing in std-ish tune.(oh yer and later wrx`s are worse as theyre heavier-why ya think theres few std ones around:hush

Ha ha we caught a scooby turbo of the lights last week in the clio, first time its ever really been floored and he was only about 1/4 of a car length infront ! we were all in shock its not what you expect when your 4 up in a clio :eyes: he looked very pissed off, especially as he was laughing when stationary at the lights.

non turbo's are slow as hell, could keep up with them in my old 1.2 clio,
had a go at a silver turbo off the lights the other day,
beat me off the lights cos it was raining and i just sat there wheel sprinning the first 2 gears but after that i was able to keep up.
mind you i still love the sound of them
