I got a scuff on my bodywork, well I say I, but it was the builders next door, when I see someone there i'm going to give them a mouthful. Been having trouble with them dropping stuff on our drive and it seems now they have dropped some roofing stuff and it's scuffed the paintwork on my car.

I saw it yesterday at work and didn't know what it was then, gave it a rub etc and some came off but not all of it. Is there any way to get it all off? I'm not sure if it's actually damaged the paintwork or not, either way if I need to pay someone to do it, it's coming out of their pocket, not mine!

T-Cut on a rag should take any scuffs off, make sure that they havent chipped the paint, or dinted the panel though.

Thanks, thought of trying that but we haven't got it in the house at the moment, will have to go out and buy some.... They best not have chipped it though, though I know it's not dinted, the thing wasn't heavy.

get the number on the side of the builders van - or ask them for the number to their head office - if they ask say its cos your looking to have some work done on the house..

Then call the number, whilst stood near them, and make your complaint to their head office - quoting the REG NUMBER of the van.. make sure the on-site builders can hear you though!

Dont moan at the builders that are working, they are simply workers..

Well went over it today, the mark is just about gone anyways, seems to be coming off, but did find a very small slight dint. My dad thinks they dropped wood on it. I must wait till thursday or so, so that I am not at work when they are here and I can get the number, my parents put a note through the the door of the house about it anyways, because their car, driveway etc is covered in crap from it. They don't seem to be a big company or anything so doubt have much of an office if at all.

Well today got a quote, is over £500. Gave it to the builder man next door, he says he can get someone to come do it on site but I don't want anyone doing it because they will probably not do it right.

The other guy said could do it for about £100 is just put masking tape over my vinyls and such but that's not the best way to do it as it can damage them. Thats probably what this other guy would do.
