I remember seeing a post on one of the variations of maxxd over the past few years about CATS and people weiging them in and getting 50-60 quid for them

Where and who do this as i have a couple that are surpless to my requirements and rather than them sat in my shed id quite like a bit of cash!

no way dude is a scrapper gonna give u that much for a CAT.

whole scrap cars fetch no more than that, so if u want that much money maybe think about the the punto.

Plus there aint enough metal left on the punto..there is more on the cat

TBH thats one thing it aint! There is NO rust on the car at all...its full of fibreglass and filler!

There's a place tom used to take copper and shit to from work and get it weighed in. We ended up with a fair but from it aswell. I'll do my best to try and find out where it was for ya 'cos i'm sure my dad took some there not long back nall.

There was a place near where I work that had a load of lorries or something that had their CATs stolen recently. They found used hacksaw blades everywhere. Apparently they do fetch good money at scrap metal places.

Friendly neighbourhood Pikeys will usually be more than happy to take CATS of you for £15-£20. They do fetch very good money when sold to the right place as one of the catalysts used to coat the ceramic brick inside is platinum.

Yeah that's it mate, the metal itself is worthless, it's the rhodium, platinum and palladium inside that is worth the cash.
