New Turbo On Its Way

Well.. after the ballache with the smart car having 3 cracks in the turbo manifold it has been off the road since the day after i got it... how pissed off was i that the guy was that much of a prick he failed to mention this when i bought it and trading standards are about as much use as mushy peas...

so.... mummy to the rescue Icon_biggrin she paid for my new turbo bless her as i unfortunately dont have £500 hidden away so the smart car will be on the road shortly Icon_biggrin all the panels are being painted soon... having them the same colour but getting rid of the scratches etc and having some glitter put in the laquer... wingmirrors colour coded, eyebrows are being painted silver then next on the list is to get the chip to turn off the traction control, get it chipped, brabus alloys and a new exhaust Icon_biggrin

Why are you getting the traction control disabled? It's not just traction control, it's ESP stability control too, and in a car that has the same centre of gravity as Russel Grant on a barstool it needs all the help it can get to stay shiney side up!

top gear did an article on these, where they raced it around their track.

It did gambon and suffered a really really bad case of understeer. You could see the wheels were turned and it just carried on going straight.

I'd listen to barrels, he knows his shit about mercs Icon_wink

I've had Smarts at various different angles and it's not a nice place to be! They are very understeery yeah, because there's squat front end grip 'cause the weight's all in the rear. Stick with the ESP, they made it non-switchable for a reason. Icon_smile

Al, it's been apart this long because Chris was doing it!

Poor girl wants to drive it before it becomes tax exempt!
