desperately need the car today that or i'm stranded in truro 14 miles from home... not even got a penny to my name to get the bus... not gonna happen though... i just hope its done for the weekend as i havent been to the meet in ages and need to catch up with everyone

It's a 1 hour job to change a turbo just a bit longer if the bolts are seized

sorry lol i skim read... gonna do some homework on it i think... its just really annoying that the car jolts like a mofo when it changes gear... gonna see what its like once the new turbo's on as that may have been affecting it same as it redlining to 6000 revs before it changed gear in auto

It jolts because of the way the transmission works, they all do it I'm afraid. The turbo won't make much difference.

Probably not to be honest, it will redline like billy-o if heavy throttle is used though, again it's a Smart trait I'm afraid. Because of the small engine they make power quite high up in the rev range so they have to rev. Sounds daft but the transmission isn't really designed to be used as an automatic, that's why it's operation is quite crude.
