im looking at one tonight are they any nippier than a vtr?
im sure the 0-60 is the same but a lot of people are saying the vtr is faster..

the zetec s weighs more but has 11 more horses so i thought they would have been about the same!!

get a bmw 318is coupe you'll get one for well under £2500 and with the money you save put it towards the insurance?

you'll save money on repairs too cause if you drive through a puddle in a vtr the bumpers, arches and gearbox will all fall off! lol

Id say get a VTR, you cant beat them for a laugh they have a lively rear end so lift off over steer is a must and handle brilliantly when set up.. and you can make them a hell of allot faster for pennies (ie we recently cammed one for £150 with a re profiled cam and everything needed to do the job (head gasket, oil, filters, cam belt, tensioner etc!) doesn't take much to make one keep up with a standard 106 GTI and they have allot more low down grunt to pull you from corner to corner on a track :boogy:

Oh and if it brakes you can fix them for pennies there simple so most stuff you can rebuild yourself with a simple tool set!

Rallyes fetch a premium which is rediclious you pay mint 106 GTI money sometimes more and get a shit load less and a car twice as old and most of them are battered Icon_sad as they tend to get used properly by the type of people that own them.

1.3 Rallye Insurance Group 9
1.6 Rallye Insurance Group 12

Peugeot 306 1.9 DT - Crashed
Peugeot 306 1.9 DT - Sold
Peugeot 106 Rallye S2 - Slagged, Tracked Then Sold
Renault Clio RenaultSport 2.0 - Tracked Then Sold
Seat Leon FR - Broke down after 3,000 miles!! German Crap! French stuff never broke down !

You'll find that the spares you want won't be found in the scrapyards.

VTR/VTS/Gti/Rallye parts are desireable items. Scrappies tend to pay them special attention when comes in to make sure anything thats salvageable is removed from the car.
