My car care recommendations
preparation
Wash your car however you see fit be it sponge/bucket/wash mitt/2bucket method whatever,I always use meguiars shampoo plus-buy it at around £15 for a us gallon (about 4 ltrs) lasts me just over a yr(2cars)
Rinse off with hose and leather off(this is me, you may use drying towel whatever again here)I use a autoglym aqua-dry leather.about £8 but will last yrs if ya look after it.
Always so far used meguiars quick clay kit (around £12),after claying wash car again (to remove clay residue etc)dry off(will be using sonus green in the future and sonus glyde clay lubricant-doesnt strip so much of the shine you`ve spent ages building up as its a less agressive clay on your paintwork)
Next i`ll use poorboys professional polish (about £11 or £12/bottle)this aint really a regular use product and i only use it after claying or when i spot a mark on the paintwork so should last ya a couple of yrs really(i only clay about 3/4 times a yr)
Follow this with Einszett metallic polishwax to enhance the shine further(names misleading as its hardly a wax and is ok for both flat colours and metallics)£9.99 (can use this regular if ya wish-good on its own on some colours but is only a very light cutting polish)
Follow this with blackfire wet diamond all finish paint protection sealant-(3coats at least for maximum effect)probably the best stuff ive ever used £21.95
Wax wise its really up to you my favourite 3 in no particular order are
P21S concours carnauba wax £20 (easiest to use with instant results, wont last much longer than a month on ya car though)
Chemical guys petes 53 wax £20 (should probably be priced higher is a good wax but needs a couple of coats at least-better protection than p21s maybe slightly less shine but more depth)
Collinite 915 about £20-£25 (best all round wax nice balance of depth/shine but awkward to buff off(dries quick)will only need 1 coat though. Can follow up with other coats in following wks however will lose the reflectiveness of the blackfire sealant underneath-i know i tried it.
Should ya want to use a glaze before wax recommend pinnacle XMT carnauba finishing glaze (About £12) seems to enhance the shine more than meguiars showcar glaze which i were using before-Any questions other than "can ya buy all this from 1 place" ask, lol..........no ya cant!!!

RE: My car care recommendations
Posted this before(is a few coats)were part of a full detail by polished bliss where ya get the blackfire from,i know ppl tell ya that alot of the finish is in the preperation but trust me this is great stuff-recommend 3 or 4 coats for a permanent smile.

Silvers a funny colour though-may do better with the petes 53wax after blackfire on silver.

RE: My car care recommendations
To be honest ya could get by with just poorboys professional polish/einszett metallic polish wax and the blackfire, would be the best £50(inc postage)ya`d spent on car care stuff lol.
Really makes ya wonder wether ya need a wax.

RE: My car care recommendations
Some Meg's number 83 polish and 2 quick coats of blackfire worked wonders on mine.

RE: My car care recommendations
Long story mate but the engine needs to come out again, a lot of the seals and gaskets have gone porous with age so need replacing; it's doing a good collinder impression at the mo. I need to replace all the rubber water hoses, metal water bypass hoses, head gasket, sump gasket, rocker cover gasket, water pump and rubber fuel lines for it to be right. You'll not be seeing me or the car for a while!

RE: My car care recommendations
I can't keep it there during the week mate, that's the problem. Plus the fact I've not got a pot to piss in! It would have to coincide with someone selling a set of forged rods and pistons complete with bearings, rings, fasteners etc for £500 too! Bastard!
I can't see it being on the road any time soon to be honest.
