Mothers reflections wax/top coat pics

Just been building the shine back up on the scooby as i stripped it all bk with t-cut the other wk to lose some scratches/swirls i`d created using an old applicator that had dried swissol cleaner fluid on"i think", anyway made a right fcuking mess when you caught it in the right light still as shiny but like almost a haze of swirls when you caught the shine right-were gutted.

but getting bk to normal now:boogy:

Tried it-gave it lad across the road for his ped FACT!!Icon_biggrin werent that good imo not as good as poorboys stuff in fact-cg`s stuff is good value for money dont get me wrong but the finish werent all that on mine-you do find with waxes an polishes what works well on one colour doesnt necessarily work on another.(liked their xxx hardcore paste wax better)

3 questions then tomIcon_biggrin

1) are ya using a pc or simular(just wondering as the handles are taped up)

2)the pic of the swirls is a close up the others arent

3)Theres no way thats butter wet wax alone trust me Icon_biggrin u post that on a detailing site an say yer just a quick rub over with cg butterwet wax an they wouldnt believe yaIcon_biggrintoungemsl: Quite willing to believe it were finished with it but theres no way a liquid wax got rid of them swirls alone(even admitted that it were polished first above). My cars never seen a pc or equivalent just different products applied by hand i reckon to an extent with a rotary polisher you could pretty much get a mint finish with a cheap crap wax if the prep had gone in beforehand.Doesnt prove anything about the wax imo.

Now i know my cars in pretty good nick to start with however i tend to show pics that show differences in finish between waxes/sealants polishes, its rare that i start from scratch with clay etc most of the time its wash, leather off, polish or wax thats it.

Eg tried Einszett waxpolish soft the other week after just washing the car

Yeah definatly lol its been done with a Dual Action first with Meguired Number 83 then 80 polish to remove the paint defects.

Then its had a coat of the wet wax to protect it, obviously im aware that a wax has no cleaning properties what so ever and needs to go onto a nicely polished surface to get the desired results.

Dont think im getting into a pissing contest with you over this im marely just comparing results with different wax's / seleants with you, no doubt i will be trying some of the ones you have recomended as you have stunning results Icon_razz

The benz was that swirly all over infact worse in places under direct sunlight, it has been valated once a week for most of its life at local car washes and thus it looked like it had been washed with a brick, so polish was needed to sort it out in the first place. But the wet wax gave it its finish.. I also try loads of different wax's (dam their are alot to go at) but so far i really like the CG's wet wax Icon_smile thats my opinion, you dont have to prove me wrong or anything.

End of the day we both getting pretty dam good results, although the work on the bend was more restoring than building up a shine tbh.

If you ever need to borrow a DA for any work on the scoob give me a shout Icon_smile

Thats fair enough mate an cheers for the offer of the DA Icon_biggrin were just it came across as all you`d used were the wet wax which could have been waaay misleading to others on here who may buy it expecting the same results when in fact if using it alone would be dissapointed.
Daz me mates got a pc that he keeps offering me however so far dont think his vxr`s gained loads from him using it on that, though he`s still learning to be fair.

To be honest you wont really see results from a DA unless the car has paintwork that needs to be corrected, and on a VXR i doubt it will...

I try to polish a car once to get it to standard and then go to town building up a wax or sealent..
