Mk2 Golf GTI Wanted

Right at this stage im just looking at what i can expect to get for around the £3k mark.

I've looked on vw forums, piston heads, auto-trader etc but can't find any minters really and i want something that looks fantastic.

Its an oak green 8v campaign in standard form, 163k on the clock with service history,
New windscreen fitted last week and also got new front bumper coming for it.
Body work has its small spots of rust and stone chips but no major body work has been done on this car.
Interior is almost concours condition and the engine is sweet as a nut (loses no oil at all!!)
A great joy to drive and very reliable has never let me down, drives almost like it was new!
only one other owner from new. Fair bit of history docs also.

even got the tape cassette that come with the car when bought.!
Looking for approx £1575 ovno

got a month or so tax on it, will put 12 months mot on it when sold. (still has 8 months or so on ticket as it is)
Not many standard examples left!

Its Now come to the time to sell the golf as im moving to spain in the next couple of months. heres a brief spec on it.

Milage: 117k has full service history and since ive had it ive Done oil and filter every 6,000 miles! and haved used slick 50 when i first had it

Engine
1.8 8v GTi Digifant
high flow air filter.
custom exhaust (£280)

At 100k had the head gasket was changed and the same time had a cam belt kit fitted.
New header tank
New radiator
coolent change
new throttle cable

had a clutch fitted at 98k

Chasis side of things
it has FK AK Coilovers (£285)
Wheels are Brock B2's 7Jx15inch and il be totally honest the rear tyres are worn on the inner edges from where they were on the front of my mates mark 2 before i bought them! fronts are totally fine.
and also has had new pads on the front.

there are a couple of down points about her but then again it is a 17 year old car!

has a little dink on the n/s/r quater panel.
when u open the boot, you see the bit where the water runs down, it has a small amount of rust. but apart from that there is no rust on the car!

hand brake is also a bit poor. i was told it could do with a set of rear pads.

this car had always been looked after by me and it means alot to me! and its never been TOTALLY THRASHED by me, often given a good go at times and ive always made sure its warmed up, indicated by the MFA on board computer, which is fully working!

ive been told that its worth about £2100 by people but as im moving to spain soon i need it to be gone so im asking for £1900 ONO

i think thats a fair price for whats been done to it maintained and Modified!

I Live in Hertfordshire. PM me or ring me on 07930501672
