MG ZR options please !
Hey there im Max and ive recently just brought Michaels Heavily modified MG ZR and im just wondering what you guys would recomend i could do to it next.
Yeh i know the paint job could be redone but I might just have the front bumper, bonnet and wing sprayed and that will cover 99% of the scratches and chips on the car, just thinking what else i could do the car? I have enquired about an underneath neon kit Colour optional any surgestions? Also a purge kit to come from the bonet or arches not sure yet weather that would be to much or not i dont wnat to go crazy and go over board and ruin the car. I am looking enhance its performance but its not necessary at the moment because if i mess with engine and tell insurance couldnt afford it as i am only 17 and 18 in october. Feel free to comment and leave opinions and ill see what i can do http://images.forum-auto.com/mesimages/3...76_max.jpg A picture of my car. ^^ It has its orginal plate on at the moment but mine has been sent to dvla regards max |

RE: MG ZR options please !
Neons NO
Purge Kit NO If it needs a full re-spray, then have a full re-spray, you will only see the imperfections on the other none sprayed panels and also they might not be able to match the colour, it which case it will look gay. |

Dude..
if i was you, i'd just enjoy the car for a bit Its had a lot done to it, and as it stand will get a lot of attention at the shows.. IMO the best thing to do, would be enjoy it until the end of the season this year, then start thinking about changes for NEXT years show season! And next year make it YOUR car, instead of micheal gilberts old car ![]() Need some alloy wheels? Find car styling companies in the UK The latest modified car news |

RE: MG ZR options please !
brave lad for buying such a car, as these sort of cars needs a ridicoulous amount of work to kepp them to such a high standard.
defo avoid a neon and a purge kit as only 1 word comes into my mind "CHAV" and also try and spray it a solid colour as i believe it would look better, definetly something big and bright. also forget about performance mate as if u want a fast car then buy one next, maybe make anything under your bonnet look nice instead of quick.

RE: MG ZR options please !
Thats the problem with buying an already heavily modified car - it's hard to put your own stamp/personality on it. It's not something i would ever personally do.
Like has been said -wait until the shows are over and then start work on doing what YOU want. that gives you time to save up and to decide what you are going to do!! |

RE: MG ZR options please !
cheers guys
probs best thing acctuly to start doing my own thing to it next year and have fun with it for abit i see were your coming from about the neons and purge kits but i cannot see what else i can seriously do to the car its basicly immaculate and just needs touch ups im going to stay away from performace aswell because with the money ill spend on the engine i could possibly buy sumthing twice as fast for half the money because when start adding turbos and that talking thousands and id rather save up and buy something with proper power and speed becasue the MG is just about looks, also if i did make it more powerful id just end up wrecking it in some bush or something max
