Ollie, to clean your AFM undo the two screws that hold it in and withdraw the filament. Then just blast it with brake cleaner, and it'll go from black to silver. Takes about 2 seconds and really makes all the difference to idle if it's really gacked up.

Cheers Mate.

I cant see it being too bad as its only done 37k plus it has the standard Air box on but it cant do any harm giving it a clean can it!

It will be black mate, i put money on it. Will take you two seconds and will be one vital step towards preventing the horrible detonation!!

Ok the De-Cat Process.....

Firstly find Someone stronger than me to remove the 7 year old Nissan CAT And Heatshield Nuts (Or just snap them off eh alan Icon_wink)

Next remove cat...yes that is an Angle grinder in the background...yes it was used...twice Icon_wink
You can see the horrid old CAT and the nice new decat!

Under the car a CAT shaped hole...

And the straight pipe on the car...

all finished

errr kind of!

The pain in the arse was getting the old CAT off hence the angle grinder Icon_wink

It was short as Nez said, but the rear section has plenty of play to mate it up but a unused bracket was catching the diff so that got grinded too!

PS i tried ringing you last night it goes straight to answerphone? im on my old phone so i might have a diff number in that one cant remeber you changing though...ends in 46?

err not really, i think it has slightly changed pitch but it still has the front pipe CAT and rear box so will sound nice when i can afford to finish the system.

So im now awaiting Air Filter and boost gauge..then i have to save for a bigger fuel pump!

Out of 10 bolts, only 2 came out, 7 snapped and one needed to be taught a lesson from "mr Grinder". I knew it was gunna be a pain when the first one snapped.
