Il be fitting the induction kit and manifold just before fastfest.

So i got the 4-2-1 Manifold out and attempted to fit it, but ran into a few problems, first off pics of manifold its self




As you can see, 4-2-1 Branch good welds should be shinny silver but couldnt be arsed to polish it.
Well started fitting it to the car few problems arrised as il explain but let the pictures tell the story from here on.







So... Manifold off the car and downpipe off, picture doesnt show but also bolts out of the head aswell.. now is where problems started to occur!!





From those pictures, if you cant see basically the problem is the sump, the manifold wont fit flush to the head of the car because of 1 of the pipes is hitting the sump.

The manifold has been on a Z18XE engine before but it was in a Astra, the Head & Block are exactly the same, and the Sump looks identical however going to change the sump sometime to a Astra sump IF its different and then try again!

Also for people asking about the ECU, i was going to be using a Megasquirt ECU but now i think il fit the Supercharger kit its self and then goto the local Dastek place and get a Unichip fitted and get the car mapped for the best performance.

Aye, il have a good why not got nothing to loose. Only way youll learn is buy trying.

As for the manifold, MIGHT be fitted on thursday providing my mates got the new sump!
If hes got the sump off the astra then its game on and that manifold will be fitted thursday

Right then time for a Update and quite a change of update aswell, For full story see Post1. Not supercharging now, dropping a z20let in (Modern Vaux 2.0 turbo engine).

Just bought my Coilovers tonight to hold up the extra weight of the engine going in. Got for a bargin of £200. FK Silverlines, Rears are brand new, 1 front shock snapped due to being fitted incorrectly, but i have a replacement shock for this!

Engine, ECU, BCM, Dash Loom, Engine Loom, Key, Transponder, Turbo, Intercooler, AFM, Pipework, Mounts, Starter motor, Alternator + Wiring for these, Gearbox + Linkage & Mounts, Front shafts, Front hubs and Gearstick and cables.

Up in liverpool, waiting for the guy breaking the astra to get back to me with a good price!

Right todays update:

I swapped the shocks over from the knackered 1, fitted the rears and obviouly have the springs wond all the way down, going to fit the fronts tomorrow before i goto work will drop the front a lil more then it is now, im thinkin -50mm on the front.

So will update with pictures tomorrow.
