Right Guys....
Im sooo excited as the 2008 show season is a mere 2/3 weeks away kicking off with the fast show...and ending sometimg in october with the Jap show finale and millions of shows for you all to enjoy in between.
Maxxd is making a real effort in 2008 to make our members cars look the best they can, show the club in a good and proffessional name and make sure members old and new have the best show experiance possible with maxxd.com.
Most of you are aware that maxxd has seen changes over the last 6 months, with membership introduced and forum changes and exciting ventures like the motorsport team and a wide range of events.
Its really great that we have had the support from you lot keeping the forums busy and bringing your cars to the events meets and cruises and i thank you all...it hasnt been easy.
But....
With change comes a serious point, Membership has released a nice ammount of cash for us to spend on our stands and on equiptment needed for maxxd.com.
Therefor the following is very important to understand before we get to shows and people dont understand.
As people have paid money to join maxxd for the year then at the show stands they are our priority. Everyone is welcome along to the shows with maxxd, the more the merrier but a lot of time and effort is going to be put into the show stands.
Therfor...
IF you havnt paid to join maxxd membership (£20 for the whole year) then we cannot 100% assure you your car will be on a stand that we have. The room needed to show of our members cars has to take priority and im sure you will all agree, if we have room then we will invite you on but bear in mind it might not be anywhere near the front or in the prime positions no matter what you drive.
Membership can still be paid anytime but id do it sooner rather than later as things like spec lists and thangs to make the cars look as good as we can will soon be being ordered.
We also expect you to understand that were there to enjoy ourselves too, so help us out! you MIGHT be asked to lead a convoy, you might have to be up early helping us set up remember we are there to enjoy ourselves too so take the load off me, olstar, newth and ste but offering to chip in and help us out, and by all means throw your ideas at us!!!!
Your car - IF its going on the stand at any show this year...
IT MUST BE CLEAN - there is no room for dirty cars, some places are muddy so make sure you bring your cleaning stuff to every show dirty cars will be asked to go away and be cleaned or asked to be taken off display - and remember this is a public display!
MAKE IT LOOK GOOD - If you have an amazing engine bay, get it open! if you have an install or its all stripped out get it opened up won a trophy? get them out been in a mag? get it on display!!!
TIME - The show runs ALL DAY - you will NOT leave any stand until either..we the only ones left...and/or Olstar/myself/newth or ste gives the nod to go. IF you need to leave early on the show day we'd ask you not to include your car in the stand display - not being funny it just leaves a nasty gap!
Clothing - We will be ordering Maxxd polos ect soon so please see me to get one - and not that im condoning it..but if you are going robbing banners/flags or running up the 1/4 mile...DONT WEAR A MAXXD HOODIE!

Enjoy yourselves, it was a shit year last year weather wise lets make 2008 the best for maxxd and the modified car scene.
