Lowering advise??
Right going to buy some lowering springs soon as standard ride height obviously is noit doing the look any good and will make a huge difference to the look...
I like the low look of the car and was thinking 60mm drop (car is saxo by the way on 14's) this apparently scrapes the manifold if challenged with speed bumps etc which i dont mind as il take them steady..
60mm though this cant be good for track action and was thinking 40mm would probably be best for this.. so not sure whether 40mm will look low enough and be best for track or go 50mm and deal with?/
some help please which would you go for??
cheers people...
not getting any bigger wheels either want 14's for track,...

RE: Lowering advise??
50mm is the best allrounder so go for that but dont forget that once u have turned the torsion bar down 1 turn of the splines is usually about 40mm and 2 turns is about 60mm so your back end my sit a lower than your front.

RE: Lowering advise??
your best bet will be just turning your torsion bar one spline mate.
D is right when he says 1 spline =40mm (ish) 2splines =60mm(ish)
if your concious of handling i would go for 40mm and just do the torsion bar to match the front.
also i have found that the best way to get the torsion bar out is with a slide hammer and give it some pasty!

RE: Lowering advise??
Thats what the red speed bumps are for I'm talking about the bumps you can get all four wheels on, any smaller than that and I'm fucked...

RE: Lowering advise??
60mm ftw.
my red clio clio is dropped by 2 splines and adjustable rear absorbers and coilovers on the front dropped equally and set to the the second hardest setting and has no problems what so ever on speed bumps.
