RE: Latest addition to my electronic mods
I assume it uses a pre-recorded phrase - programmed onto an re-writable EPROM or similar?
Basic relay operation from an input signal?
Nice idea....i'd be interested to see how temperamental it is though (coughs, colds, blocked noses etc an seriously affect your voice - making recognition more and more difficult).

RE: Latest addition to my electronic mods
yes a taperecording would work. Im not using it for security.
The actual MCU that im using has a 35% tolerance on vocal recognition so having a cold may not necesarily cause the unit to fail. It is supposed to work on anyones voice providing the timing and inflection are the same +-35%. It uses the same technology that some phone companies are now using as their answering system to transfer calls. It uses peaks and troughs to diferentiate between different commands.
When i get the unit working your quite welcome to view and rip it apart

RE: Latest addition to my electronic mods
excuse my ignorance here but ICE and electronics goes right over my head!
What can you use it to do? or is there outputs for pretty much all controls?
I.E Lights/start ect
Or is it more of a Sound system/security/navigation tool?
Im intreguied how ever to see how it works and what can be done!

RE: Latest addition to my electronic mods
anything you can use switch on or off
lights on
lights off
fog lights on
fog lights off
amps on / off
engine start
engine stop
Using 2M of memory on the module i can program 15 commands, so basically with 1 microphone i can remove 15 switches. Generally just a gimmic but can be very powerfull when used correctly. Ive been trying to perfect something similar for years on a pc so that you can turn your tv on turn lights to 50% etc but now i got a standalone mcu that can do all that.
When you ring say-- Radio1 you get a switchboard that asks you for the name of the person you want, You speak and itasks you to confirm your option thats the sort of thing it is.

Wasn't ripping it up m8.
Good to see some clever mods being used and some electronics. The tolerance sounds good, I wonder how road noise would affect it. Eager to see the results.

I know you werent ripping it up but when your developing something its good for plenty of people to test stuff and bring out the bad side so that it can be perfected.

RE: Latest addition to my electronic mods
yeah you can get it to give a response you can even get it to ask for a variable eg Lights on then it asks for say full or 50% you get the gist

RE: Latest addition to my electronic mods
ever get your caddy on the road & it'll be a doddle to wire that in. (this why we're gonna use relays to drive everything.)
'caddy up'
'caddy down'
turns into stupid squabbles that newth prob sits at home laughs at, calls you all twats and deletes it
