i'm not getting a car just 'cos a few others have 1, a few others I know have ka's, I want a pulsar, that different enough? but I can't get one yet 'cos I can't insured, and I want a nice, fast car, that isn't much more on insurance, not to old, that I can get for not much more than I sell my ka for until I can get insured on a 2.0 gti-r which won't be until i'm 21.

This car is not for life, probably be for a year or so, maybe more. I'm just biding my time till I can get my mitts on a pulsar and get the beast insured.

Can we all just bear in mind i'm 17 please. At the end of the day it's MY choice what car I get and this time i'll have a pretty quick engine to start with instead of trying to make a 1.3 fast when i've kitted her up and put gret subs in the boot. I was not willing to strip my ka as she's got leather interior and I thought it'd be a waste, i've had her 2 years now so whatever the next person chooses to do with her is their choice. Does any1 think I really stood out in my ka??? I don't.

For starters i'm not getting a silver 1, black, nana or diablo red. Mainly diablo red so if any1 see's one in good condition, 1999 onwards with less than 70k let me know please.

how about a c2gt? corsa with a red top in and 1.2 on log book insurance friendly.No matter how quick it is there will always be something quicker go for something you really like and goes if it needs to.TBH 106GTI's or VTS aren't they quick, have you done a quote on a supra non turbo? or skyline n/a?

106's are nicer they came with leather interiors as std.

no supra is 3 liter not sure on skyline think there 2.5 non turbos are quite cheap to buy you'll be surprised. and plus its the right drive RWD too i know i'm a FWD but with kelly driving RWD it would be wrote off in days

Go get a Civic OWNS both.

And at 17...id be well happy with a kitted up KA, and a 1.3 is plenty fast enough with your driving!

Save your money keep running the KA, Get used to driving and as we all get older then you get bigger faster.

I think half the problem is your comparing your car status to everyone elses...but were all over 20/21 so we can afford the insurances

You probably wont want a Pulsar anymore in 4 years time when you can insure one. As for an NA Supra or Skyline, dont bother, both are very slow. Also I had quotes on an NA Supra and a twin turbo'd one and for some reason the TT was half the price to insure. Infact it was £600 when I was 24, my Impreza was a grand with the same company and an SZ Supra (NA) was over £1200!! It is your decision, but at 17 you are limited without the $$$$$. 106GTi's are good cars, but you dont see many Civic VTi's knocking about for some reason as there really good. Have you ever thought about a CRX VTEC?? I'm not talking about the Del Sol either, but the older pre '92 ones. I'd love one of them.
