The 1.6 twin cams are SR Model

Then there is a 2.0 GTI Non Turbo

As long as there is history mileage aint that important

RE: Jess's possible new car thread
i think its how questions get asked on here that leads to mis-information

There is some massive experiance on this website, from a full on Drag Race crew member, to acouple of audio and electronics experts, to a couple of people who can do anything with fibreglass and a grinder and then those who know someone who can and finally those who live and breath cars and knowledge!

To make the most you have to aim the questions correctly IMO so...

Id have done this....
Quote:Im Putting My KA up for sale, recent bad luck with it and i fancy a change to something a little nippier, but bearing in mind im 17 and insurance is tight.
I really like the Nissan Pulsars but no way i can afford one, ive considered 106 GTI's and Starlet Turbo's but im not sure either way or if there are any other suggestions that people might have.
I have £xxxx to spend and would like XXXXXXXX and XXXXXXX

Thanks
Jess

The way people ask questions helps with the response, and because i have now understood you like the pulsars..and its took 4 pages! i have come up with a suggestion!

More info you give, more info this awesome community can give back IMO

ka-skarlet Wrote:I don't like civics or crx's though...theyre ugly lol

Again....you sure?

ka-skarlet Wrote:IAs far as I can tell theyre both pretty much the same sort o' speed right??? I like the starlet 'cos it looks like a baby pulsar, but I also like the 106 'cos of the modding potential with the dimma kit.

I'd say that as far as modding potential goes it depends what you're after, performance or visual. If it's looks then go for the Pug. Not my cup of tea at all but with things like the wide-arch kit there is far more potential for an eye-catcher. If it's performance, then a well-tuned Starlet will eat a 106 alive. It's a doddle to get well over 200bhp from a Starlet, and providing it's looked after well it'll be very reliable. Like I said, it depends what avenue you want to go down really.

ka-skarlet Wrote:I just want people to post suggestions as to which has the most modding potention, which is most reliable

My personal opinion is that the Starlet has the most potential, but I'm more in to function than form, so I'd always go with the one I could get the most power from. If it's a show tart you're after then go French.

ka-skarlet Wrote:*EDIT* I don't want a car with 80k + mileage.

Any particular reason? Don't be so quick to dismiss anything purely because of mileage, a Sunny GTI will be a very reliable option, the SR20DE is a really strong motor regardless of whether it's done 10,000 or 100,000. If you're that fussed just put a new instrument cluster in and you'd never know the difference!

*insert witty remark here*
