RE: Jess's possible new car thread

Yeah i'm sure, both them cars still arn't my cup of tea. I really like the Sunny GTI for obvious reasons and just checked with insurance and it's an extra £111.79. Thing is if I bought a cheaper car I can afford insurance all in one go again so it'll cost me less.

Nissan Sunny 2.0 GTI

What dya think?

Sounds like you'd need a Sil80 then....

Too big? Pfft....big car = proper car, especially RWD Icon_biggrin

That Sunny does look a good un but don't worry too much about not getting that particular one. There's always cars around and when you get the cash you'll find something.

RE: Jess's possible new car thread

Ka-Starlet - Lovin that sunny, it looks awesome!!Icon_cool
if you can sort the cash from your old man, i would say 100% buy it!! as ollie said earlier, simple upgrade in a few years to change the engine in it, but if its the 2.0 gti with the sr20 DE engine same as mine, it isnt slow anyway! plus that car weighs a bunch less than mine so ull be surprised with the power.
hopefully see u soon...... in something japaneseIcon_winkIcon_cheesygrin!

eightsmokinbarrels - the s13 and EK9 have just made me cream Icon_lol

RE: Jess's possible new car thread

I wasn't sure what the power was like in them but figured a 2.0l GTI wouldn't be slow anyways, I just love the look of the pulsar and that's got it!!

Also, it's only in birmingham so not 2 far 2 travel, fingers crossed no1 else get's it!!

RE: Jess's possible new car thread

well my mates 2.0 celica is running 207bhp, mine weighs more and there both neck and neck when booted from a standing start, mines had blitz induction kit, full HKS exhaust system including manifold, so to be fair , that pulsar will not be slow in the least.

RE: Jess's possible new car thread

The Sunny GTI has 140bhp as standard, but with a decent exhaust, de-cat (depending on age) and a remap they're good for 170ish at the wheels.....that's around 200+ at the flywheel. Not bad for an n/a lump.....SR20's are ace Icon_biggrin

*edit* Forgot to mention, the standard brakes are piss-poor so be careful! They're good at first but fade really quickly so a decent set of discs and pads are a worthy investment; Brembo 12 grooves and a set of DS2500 pads are a really good choice. (same for the GTI-R too)
