Insurance question (ALAN)

Basically i dont want to use my car over the winter time and want to keep it in my garage but i would need another car to run around in, can i insure two cars on one policy? Do they do a "special" rate for insuring two cars with them? Or what happens?

Cheers!

RE: Insurance question (ALAN)

some companys do multi policy, admiral and Norwich union I can think of. But if it's staying in garage why not just cover the run around?

Admiral multi car - although they dont like modified cars!

Yeah, just transfer it over to another car - does it NEED to be insured if its locked away in a garage?

Need alloy wheels?
Need modified car parts or performance car parts?

RE: Insurance question (ALAN)

The 106 always stays insured even when locked away for winter.

You never know someone could still break into your garage.

RE: Insurance question (ALAN)

I dont think i would need it insured if it is in the garage as it will be locked and a car in front of the garage most of time aswell.

Time to find me shitter................

RE: Insurance question (ALAN)

To be honest found multicar to be of no real benefit when ive had 2 cars, always register my 2nd car in me mums name and insure her on that (on most cars works out between 150 an 200 quid inc on gti`s an stuff)then use my scooby fully comp to cover me 3rd party when im driving that.

Does work out cheaper this way for me.

RE: Insurance question (ALAN)

multi car is a pain in the arse. I've had nothing but grief with it.

I'm with ste though (well, stacy here lol), all my cars are permanently insured (& taxed for that matter). You just never know.
