Hmm i'm not sure, there wasn't anyone up there though that's for sure.

it wasnt a sunday and no one was down in other location as it was proper foggy

Well if you were going either of those places it was hardly a random drive now was it?? Let's be honest.
Like you said as a passenger it is a bit crap you got done but you were hardly out on an innocent little drive were you??
