Hiring/Borrowing a 7.5t truck? HELP!!!!
At the moment our cars are either miles away on a local farm OR parked on the street with th elocal fcukwits keying them day and night.
My plan is to knock down my knackered old asbestos garage and replace it with a block built, secure 18ft wide, 30ft long one with apex roof for storage and a workshop. Double electric roller door one end and a single up and over the other so you can drive through onto hard standing and a car port area. This will also allow me to fcuk about with m8's cars - something I enjoy doing but can't at the moment. The roller door is about 14ft long and the apex's (x10) are 18ft long. I need to borrow/hire a big flatbed to collect some roof apex's and a roller door for my new garage. I'm not clued up but I have been told I need a 7.5t flatbed. They need collecting from Newton, just off the A38 near Huthwaite. I have some muscle to help me load and unload in place. Does anyone know anyone with a suitable sized truck or somewhere to hire one for half a day? Obviously anyone who owns one would be paid for their time/fuel. It's going to mean the difference between my dubs standing on the street and getting keyed/not getting much work done and some regular sweet rides being turned out so any help is greatly appreciated.

Not sure its Quite Big Enough, and with it not being a flatbed i think we will struggle.

RE: Hiring/Borrowing a 7.5t truck? HELP!!!!
You will get the 14ft stuff in a sprinter as some the machinery we carry in ours is 14ft long. You wouldn't get the 18 ft stuff in though - unless you loaded it with the door open and the plod wouldn't like that.
My mate has a double axle LWB van but am not sure its dimensions. Can give him a bell when I get back to UK and ask him? |
