Gear Box Bracket

What is this which on my car has apparently snapped! is this a big job and expensive...and also looked under the bonnet and said my gearbox rod was snapped...

mate take it to a bloke called george he works in mansfield and he knows his stuff alot of members use him, he not rip you off tell him i sent you.

Thanks for offering help but its in a garage now... much appericated tho Icon_smile So what is the gear bracket and are they hard to repair??
