RE: fuel prices

Best way to get them back is to only buy fuel from one place!

say everyone goes to morrisons, yeah there will be queing like mad, but all the other places will be forced to reduce prices to get there buisness back.

having said that petrol stations only make around 4-5pence a litre profit so theres not realy that much we can do about it, still going to be over a pound a litre if everyone only uses one place.

it does suck how the 'motorist' gets hammered with the taxes and the only solution is for the government to reduce the costs, which wont happen due to the diabolocal state of our current econemy.

rant over. im drunk.

RE: fuel prices

As others have said, the stations themselves make very little profit on fuel so boycotting will do nothing. The majority of them are franchises anyway, so the only impact would be to possibly start putting individuals out of business.

Britain has actually got the cheapest fuel in Europe (pre-tax); 95 RON is 41p a litre........it's the 58% tax on top that's the killer!!

RE: fuel prices

nothing will ever change. I was looking at me wage slip today and the amount of tax I pay, then thought of all the tax I'm charged on the things I buy with my wages. Then the tax I pay is used to feed, clothe and house people who cant be arsed to work.

There's no wonder this counrty is on it's arse.

I'm going to buy a caravan, become a Gypsie and laugh at the government when I'm paying fuck all tax (I'll have a horse to pull my caravan, thus negating fuel tax)

RE: fuel prices

the actual price of fuel itself is 45p, anything we pay after that is tax and petrol stations themselves make about a few pennies worth of profit on each litre sold. so petrol stations aren't benefitting anymore than we are. it's the bloody government

Gordon Brown...what a c**t
