fitting buckets

hi guys

am thinking of getting some bucket seats similar to the R32 ones, but unfortunatly the seats have no sub frames.

is it possible to take off the rails from my seats and attach them to the buckets am getting. so i can still slide them back and forward.

would they need bolting on or welded on.

will

It depends entirely on the seat choice. Sometimes you can drop lucky and find your existing subframes will swap over, but it's quite rare without some sort of modding.

There are a lot of universal sliding subframes available though, it may be a better option rather than butchering your existing seats. Bolting or welding? Your choice really, it's more down to what's more practical regarding the seat base. If there's no room for bolts then you'll have to weld it in place.

my buckets would not fit onto the original 106 sub frames, so i had some of the universals and modded them to fit.

Ended up welding the seats on to the subframes.
