What a crash it was!

   

Came round for the first drift, went totally the wrong way, hit the wall and spun, then hit his team mate whilst hsi team mate was drifting - we saw the drivers window glass shatter over the driver of the gold car! Mad!

   

The cleanup commenced, the next two track sessions were cut short as it took ages to clean the track up!

Lucky for him, he dont pay for the car and lucky for shane his team mate will only miss the final round of the championship and no more.

i still reckon we should of tried asking if they wanted to weight the white in for scrap. as the floor was actually cracked.

The crash was horrible. Easily the worst crash in UK drift history, possibly even worse than the now infamous D1 crash. Shane went for the initiation, when the car snatched back the other way (properly dodgy wet/dry conditions, plus fricking oil which wasn't cleaned up) which sent his front right quarter into the tire wall with a biiiig crunch, this spun the car round and smashed the front end into the side of Danny's car. Shane's car apparently had all 4 wheels off the ground at one point. Sickening crash, sounded and looked so bad. Very lucky that no one was seriously hurt. Danny's car is totally ruined, the whole floorpan had creased in so much that the throttle pedal had almost disapeared into a mess of metal which had intruded from the side of the car. The footwell had at least halved in size and the steering collumn was pushed to the left. The bulkhead had consertinered in, the seat was on the skew, and the doorbars had bent(!) You could see the whole shell had twisted, as the roof wasn't level anymore and the bootlid had gone out of place. The state of the car was unbelievable. It was certainly a good advert for the build of the car and the difference that a proper rollcage with X bars makes, even though it had bent, it absorbed the crash and certainly saved Danny from serious injury.

Didn't really look like there was much he could do about that tbh - you can see as he goes to set up for the drift the car just straightlines into the wall with what looks like zero grip.

tbf shane ain't gonna be short of money is he, what with all the albums and now I comeback he'll stump up the cash if need too

He shouldnt have to stump up the cash, he was driving for japspeed. Its motorsport, this sort of thing happens.

I read somewhere that he's crashed a lot of the cars he's driven since getting into motorsport..

Yeah he has, he was doing the british gt championship before drifting and he smashed a few of them.

He is a decent driver. Smashes happen in motorsport, just showes he is trying hard.
