Clutch, service and belts (recommend a local garage?)

Can anyone recommend a good and sensibly priced local garage?

Got a '95 Passat 1.9TDi needing a clutch, wheel bearing and service with timing belts.

First quote was over Â£700 which seems a touch pricey :confused:

Is a balance unreasonable?

Was hoping the bill would be around the Â£500 mark or near.
