Was a brilliant day out, spun on only the 3rd or 4th lap I did, sideways over grass at 70 is for winners lol, luckily got my confidence back only to spin a bit later on at the hairpin, facing the wrong way with a Caterham driver staring straight at me.

Can't believe how much of a good atmosphere there was around the paddock, no pissed up louts or nobheads like at mainstream shows, was able to leave tools, 2 alloys, various clothing unattended whilst I was on track and Ollie was taking snaps.

Got a few pro pics to upload shortly, need Ollie to upload the video where all you can hear is the whine from the charger, its awesome Icon_biggrin

Was fun taking Ollie, Tom, G and Kayleigh out on track just for the satisfaction it gave them after hooning it around, even if it did get a bit twitchy on the last time I went out with Kayleigh, could have easily been chewing on some barrier lol.

If you are interested in going make sure you've got a couple of hundred quid for a day, as you will use plenty of fuel, and my pads are now metal on metal aswell.

Looking at ordering some Endless SSS pads though, £95 for a set and they are meant to be the bees knees, even from cold.

Cadwell = Muchos Fun Icon_biggrin

Rassssssssspppp

Glad you enjoyed it Matty, thanks for the passanger ride ill take you out in the clio next time its probably as fast but doesnt give the same rush as charging about in a yaris tounge (kaylee loved it)

Not sure if you were aware but we were down with the 306 GTI-6 owners club and as always its a great laugh, the atmosphere at cadwell is always good and always enthuisiasts although this is shown in the machinery that was sat in the pits dont think their was a slow or standard car their Icon_confusedcary: so the pace is quicker but i think its safer being with people who are experianced... compared to some of the days that are run at donington which because its a better known track attracts all sorts of people...

Ahh right, thought you were down with the Rallye owners club with you used to be owning one, was a good day, I wonder if Nicks mum went ballistic at him Icon_lol

Was alot more fun that Silverstone, because of how technically challenging the track was, definitley up for doing more, let me know when your on about doing Oulton Park, won't probably be doing another until the new year, get xmas out of the way first I think.

Ha ha yeah its a long story but i have been to the GTI-6 owners club track day for the last 3 years, always get an invite of the guy who runs it and their such regulars they get a bit of discount... this year their doing cadwell and brands in a few weeks...

Im thinking of doing oulton in feb, last time i went their it snowed lol! But the sun came out and we got a dry line eventually...

Only problem with oulton is it seems people with alot of money like it their and the pits always look a bit like this which is daunting, the car come inside lorrys and the owners come in real expensive cars:

Check out the benz waiting to go out, and the x BTCC cars in the last pic.. oh and the lambo.

No one has heard from nick since....

Ha ha it was only a slight war wound.. we ended up in a lay by on the way home for 2 and a half hours because his fan belt snapped and battery died Icon_sad

Was funny though we fucked about and time flew past, was 0 degrees though and it was in the middle of no where Icon_sad

Well....

I have many pics and vids from the day

Ill start with 2 complaints....

A. We had to get up at 5.30am to go there...after a night out...not just any night out....phils wedding night...at 1 point i was on the roof through drink Icon_wink

B. it wasnt 0 degrees at all...it was minus 5 at least!

However all of that was forgotten by seening and experiancing new things

A. watching people really giving there cars death and in some cases crashing then reparing and getting back out there really showed how keen they are!

B. Having a passenger ride with matty...WOW! - i have been im my car at fast speeds, i have been out with a proper drift guy on DWYB days, ive been out in nezs scoob, and jodys liner but i can honestly say...Matty round the track in that bundle of fun charged yaris is a great experiance in my life!!!! its awsome sounding, its quick on the straights but round the corners..OMG you feel the back end loose, but undesturbed he keeps his foot planted on the loud pedal!, charger whines and exhaust just gets louder! i was holing on to the bolster with 1 arm and the grab handle with the other (You need some buckets and harnesses mate Icon_wink) Really really thouroughly enjoyed it. If Matty ever asks you to jump in with him when he is on track..do it its a great experiance thanks mate! (and it was free Icon_wink)

Will upload my pics soon and vids, toms clio looked quick too but my car of the day was a turbo'd AX...was awesome!

However there is a down side.....

I know after being in that car that there is NO way i could keep with matty round that track in the 200..yea sure on the straights id pull away but every single corner id loose double what i gained...so need to work on the 200 even more plus get my punto sold and buy my track car!!!

Anytime Ollie, just hurry up and get that video uploaded where the charger is whining like hell Icon_biggrin

Been checking out easy track again, at the moment its £99 for a full day at Oulton Park, open pitlane on Friday 29th February 2008 if anyones up for it. Sooner you book it the cheaper it is, and also plenty of time to book off of work.
