BMW Compact reverse lights?? HELP

Hi guys, am mate of my mums is in a bit of a predicament..

Heres the email...

"Do you know if my BMW has one or two reverse lights without looking at it?

its a '53 316 ES with a Msport pack....

how will i find out... i took it to BMW to tell them that the light wasnt working, they reckoned they would charge me X to fix it, then when i told them i only bought it FROM them 3 weeks ago, they then said "oh but your BMW only has ONE reverse light!!!" embarrassed as hell, i left and my husband reckons they are taking the proverbial p*$$... how would i know r find out?"

Any ideas?

Does the 53 plate bmw compact have 1 or two reverse lights?

weres the foglight? there normally opposite the reverse light if theres only 1 reverse light.

1 reverse & 1 fog

reverse is on drivers side if i remember right...

Will check with Mike when he is on his dinner

and if she want it mending get her to bring it here mike will sort it for her

after looking into further i think the e36 (Mikes shape) has 2 of each but the E46 which whould be the shape you are on about has 1 of each

Fog will be on the right (offside) and reverse on the left (nearside), if there is only one of each (in this country any way). Put fogs on, if theres two chances are there are two reverse lights as well.

mike said on the 330 there were 2 reverse lights 1 fog but that was a coupe so might be different...
