CL has shut down for numerous reasons, the main one being is we've put in so much effort (some of us for upto 5yrs!) and how the scene has become, why bend over backwards for a bunch of chavs.. simply.
In short, fed up of putting loads of effort in for not much return - not that getting gratitude or recognition has ever been a personal goal, or the teams!
Quite upsetting really after our track record so far this year, 800 cars or so at the NMC in May and then helping to raise
makes sense really, why go out of your way for people to ruin your hobby.
I know where your coming from mate. I have seen mnay clubs do the same, its a shame, I wish you all the best anyway. Please keep checking back and get yourself down to our monthly meets.
I can see MANY other sites going down the same path, unless the members and staff all work together and make it work!

i bet u & the staff got loads of posts, messages & emails from your members!
All of them telling u how unfair things were, how badly moderatored they'd been, how someone had said this, how crap u were, moaning about double standards, asking why u weren't online 24 hours a day, why u should make the descions just cos it's your website & u pay it's upkeep.......

Maybe people do have real issues and the thing killing sites is the gap increasing between staff and members. Communication is key here and although there's a bit of scrapping goes off, we all want the same, a successful club, it's just a case of fine tuning how we do it!
