so is a bigger engine going in this then?

Just be carefull though in the Saxo with gti 6 brakes if I pressed brakes quite sharp the back end stepped out. It can catch you out

Just the fronts. My standard brakes are crap and I went for the more expensive ones last time and they're still shit. Would of eventually needed bigger brakes anyway to stop more power and these come up cheap Icon_cheesygrin

I agree, bigger brakes FTW. I spend 500 quid on EBC discs and pads for the Impreza front and rear and they're no better than standard. Will be getting some bigger discs and better calipers next time.

I had same thing with Tarox G88`s and their "fast road" pads, really poor from cold then more fade at the other end than originals-if ya can cope with brake squeal and alot of dust ive got mintex 1155`s in the front an they`re loads better even on the std discs that ive now got on the front-g88`s are about nackered thats on the bk so will be replacing with std discs again and 1155 pads.

Cant justify spending big money on brakes on a car worth what mine is-fuck that.

They're onnnnn....
Product report then Jess?

Give 'em a week of daily driving before you dish the dirt OK?
Report?

They're okay.

They're a tiny bit better than the ka ones but could do with discs on the back aswell.

They look cool but that aint gunna stop my car when I need it to is it lol
they should be sharp as hell, get al to bed them in rally style lol and rears won't make much difference it's only about 20% of ya braking force
Rear discs are for posers. They don't do shit under 300bhp and even then only in mid or rear mounted engine locations due to weight distribution.

Waste of dollar.
Al's just put rear discs on the pug and they're loads better.

Apparently it could be the master cylinder but a cossie one not fit under the bonnet so might look at a Focus one or something.

I dunno I wasn't really listening lol

i don't agree. drums are toss. they just don't work at all most of the time. least you can count on calipers working. also, if you upgrade the front end, u need to do something to the rear to allow it to keep up.

Surely though if you put bigger callipers on it will require more force to operate and be effective?

So by adding a bigger pistoned calliper, it will require more fluid to use and therefore more pressure from the master cylinder. I'd wager that when that's upgraded the performance of the brakes will be loads better.
They arn't cossie brakes.

Someone has had a look at them and told us they are standard sierra brakes.

Spoke to the dude that sold them us and he is refusing to give us our money back and has told me to "sell them on".

I've told him he either sends me the money via post and i'll package them up and send them back or i'm going to small claims court.
if you brought them through ebay you can get him done for false advertising via ebay. . .
