Do you have to upgrade the break cylinder? I don't know much about cars breaks but thought you'd have to.

It would help to upgrade the master cylinder
The cossie brakes are bigger so they will take more brake fluid to operate, if not upgraded you will find the pedal travels alot more before anything happens.
106 owners find they have to change the master cylinder when upgrading to gti-6 brakes which are similar in size (283mm)

I've only got 15's and these will only just fit under so couldn't really go any bigger without it getting expensive.
Al's just put discs on the back of his car and had no problems with master cylinder keeping up.
Also, the guys ka which they are coming off of didn't mention anything about it but i'll ask him to double check.

your master cyilnder will be ok, with large disc's and caliper's just make sure you change the fluid

actually you could just fit 300mm disks under 15's with the right 4 pot caliper.

Is it just the fronts or the back as well?? Disks that only just fit behind the wheels that are on look great.

Just the fronts. My standard brakes are crap and I went for the more expensive ones last time and they're still shit. Would of eventually needed bigger brakes anyway to stop more power and these come up cheap ![]()

I agree, bigger brakes FTW. I spend 500 quid on EBC discs and pads for the Impreza front and rear and they're no better than standard. Will be getting some bigger discs and better calipers next time.
