just for mortgages in mansfield mate 
They were mint and search all ove the place
Remeber though intereste rates have gone right up since i took mine you and its fixed, mine was over a year ago..ill try dig out the interest rate

yeah i guess, coz my mortgage was £440 2 year ago when it was fixed for a 30yr morgage

Try Alliance and Leicester aswell, they have some good fixed rates generally.
I dont know what our monthly payments are as my missus sorts it all out but I so know they are a fair bit.

mate its the best move you will make and my hat is off to ya ! getting a house its what needs to be done the cars will come and go when ya get your self sorted !
i love having my own house and i have more cars than i know what to do with !
i do think your morgage is abit high thow i got 4% with northen rock there ace fixed for 3 years i had mine over 35 years but im not living here forever so not to fussed i will get the years down when i find a place i will stay in

Thats exactly it, we have some friends who are really impressed they are able to afford a holiday to miami for a week then a 2 week cruise. They think we are tight as we didnt want to go. Difference is they live with mummy and daddy still, if we still did, with what our monthly out goings are we could afford to do it every month. :scary:
Sometimes it makes you wish you were still living at home so you could drive around in brand new Evo's with £5ks worth of mods like your mates. But then you realise your mortgage will be paid of by the time your 40, where as they will still be paying at 60 and probably be in a house half the size.
In summary you done the right thing
