Wahts everyones ideal in a perfect world money no object restoration project?
Has to be a classic, ie over 25 years old and what level of condition would you consider restorable?
Also would you restore it to its former origanal condition or modify it? If you would then what mods would you give it and why?
mine would have to be without a doubt, porsche 356, wudnt be fazed by the condition. Ive seen a splitty with no front end restored.
It would have to be put back to original condition body wise, but motor, wud be a stonking 2.5 turbo'd air cooled motor, Shortened front beam rolling on sum nice old skool porka rims.
Would have to be a Porsche

Take it back to its factory condition

Only mods would be new BBS rims and a slight drop...
splitty..

and it could be buried under the sea and id still give it a go Icon_smile

If money was no object that is..

cool!
Pics could be an idea too, so people know which ones we're talking about without having to google it....
id have to say a vw karmann coupe!

went to RTTS when i was younger and fell in love with it!
Mine would have to be a 1969 Camaro ZL-1. It wouldn't matter what the condition was really, if money was no object then I'd sort her out.

The ZL-1 was a limited run car to homologate it for NHRA Super Stock drag racing. You could take one of these from the dealer, swap the tyres, fit some headers and it'd nudge 10's on the quarter straight away......in 1969!! Icon_biggrin

I'd keep mods really simple with such a rare car and keep all the old parts in storage. I'd fit a set of headers, some new mufflers and replace the carb and ignition system with modern items.
a thing of absolute beauty! E28 M5

Would prob go to standard, maybe a few treats under el Bonnet!

Agree with Olly though, Splitties are uber cool!

grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

maybe the only ford i would ever wish for.....

Excellent choice Dan!

And Alanman.......you made me mess myself with that pic mate! Gorgeous.
That Escort is not actually real, it a virtual image off a virtual image site.

Check it out if you though that one's good. http://www.dmmultimedia.com/

And Dan I'd have chose exactly the same but Nemma said it had to be over 25 years old. So I when for the next best.
Im more into the character side of cars than the engine size.
I think theres a couple for me,
An old beetle of some sort, I remember my Uncle and Aunt haing one when I was younger and It felt like I had shrunk because the seats were huge and the windows were so high,
either that or something like this triumph 2000

I also loved the triumph herald my uncles ex used to have. Has to be a soft top though.

I also have a soft spot for the old fiat 500's. When we used to have the old cinq we went to a fair few fiat and itlian car days and there were always some of these.
that would be one of the only fords i would own if i had the chance rs 500 redtop Icon_biggrin, either that or a saffy cosworth.

mate of mine has a dolphin grey 3door cossie that does 195 mph on GPS and 0-60 in under 4 seconds. its sex on rubber!
