'90 spec Jetta GL 1.8 auto.
Colour: Tornado Red.
Spec: Full 90 spec bumpers and kit. Eyebrow spoiler. Tinted indicators and repeaters. Grey velour interior in vgc, central locking, sunroof, electric mirrors, power steering. Currently on retro Passat steels and trims. Original steelies (14") available. OEM jack and wheelbrace stuff still there!
Included: Unfitted lowering spring kit, various service items.
History: Last owner was a pensioner and the car was used for occasional shopping/fishing trips. Engine replaced 3 years ago. Sold on when he couldn't drive any more.
Bad Bits: Faulty Pierburg (bloody things!) carb. Needs servicing or Weber upgrade as it overruns. (Might have a carb sorted and on for Tuesday 4th Sept).Small ( hardly noticable) dent to rear drivers side door. Paint needs buffing up due to fading (had a go at the rear wings, boot and roof and it comes up great - just no polisher of my own to do it properly!). Small area of rust on sill rear drivers side (where you get in and out - easy repair) - see photo.
Summary: Basically a very good original car, ideal for modifying. With carb sorted would be rapid and if the lowering kit was fitted, rims added and polished up it would be a stunner. Missus has run it daily with little trouble till the MOT ran out. Selling it due to main car being roadworthy again. Ideal pimp driveby cruiser. The auto box is lush and very quick.
