right basically i`ve just put my sub and 6x9`s in the car an bought another amp to run my speakers off now i`m not sure if it would be better to run a whole other live cable from the battery to it....or what would happen if i just ran a live cable from the previous amp to the new one saving me having to pull all my carpet`s up in the pouring down rain any advice would be greatfull
i would have thought seperate wire to be safe but i'm no pro when it comes to installs Icon_lol
all depends if your origanal live wire is think enough to take the strain. if its only thin then i would run a new set of cables through the car to be on the safe side last thing you want is a electrical fire.
right i`ve run a seperate live cable from the battery the first was thick enough to take the strain but i figure better safe than sorry now the only hiccup i`ve got left is i`ve just figured i don`t now how i can get sound to run to the second amp seen as though i`ve just realised there aint no female audio sockets on the new amp an the ones runnin from the stereo go to the primary amp lol my head`s hurting now
cant you get some RCA splitters
how many outputs you got on back of head unit then? is there a sub out?
right i`ve tackled the situation and managed to sort it out thank you all for ya help i got in touch wit a bloke that used to work at in car audio i explained what the problem was an what sort of amp an what not i was working with an there was a cover on the opposite end of the amp whatscrewed off unbeknown to myself the input adaptor`s were under that lol and yes i purchased some rca splitters because there was only a high input block i was getting worried of having to try an find something to convert it to low input but worry over cheers folk`s Icon_biggrin
