anyone got any suggestions for what would be the best thing for getting all the crap off my engine and dont some clever dick say elbow grease cus thats obvious????
ANY SUGGESTIONS????
mr muscle oven cleaner.........
SERIOUS???MR MUSCLE NEVER THOUGHT OF THAT MATE!!
anything else you can think of cus that will get the bulk but all the little bits will stay on i would have thought??
use mr muscle and a decent brush/scourer. then get it steamed but make sure ALL electrical bits are sealed/covered.....
what cars it on?
Yeah Mister Muscle is pretty good, or GUNK. If you give everything a good scrub then you shouldn't need to steam off afterwards, just a regular hose should do it. Steaming isn't really recommended for modern engines unless it's absolutely neccessary.
Auto Glym do a good degreaser too, once the bulk of the shite is shifted.
If you're after some Mr Muscle, just PM Wiggy!

how come pm wiggy is he the king of muscle...mr muscle that is!!
you could take the engine out and put it in the bath...... with some radox! lol
serious though, mr muscle works a treat at breakin up grease/oil/dirt..... and like barrels said, once thats off, autoglym do a good one too, but you'll need to get the major stuff off 1st....
sound guys i will give it a blast at the weekend!got loads to do the weekend got to clean it all then fit my custom filter plus measure up the engine bay for a full alloy cover(only exposes the head water bottles, battery and filter should look mint when it is done) also got the rear bumper to finish many hands needed!!!!

how about proper engine degreaser? lol, you can buy it in spray cans from most motor parts places, works realy well! bout 2quid a tin!
it aint that good mate as silly as it sounds! want to not have to bust a bollock cleaning it so the easyest way the better maybe i might get some lovely ladies armed with hotpants and marrigolds to polish up my engine huh!!
fair doo's then mate, when my dad and brother used it the results were great! bought that from andrew page motors in mansfield.
Auto Glym engine and machine cleaner
baby wipes to start with. then just use the correct thing for the surface. ie, plastic & rubber done with ur choice of bumper trim tyre stuff, paint work done with ur choice of polish, etc, etc.
baby wipes fetch all sorts of stuff off the car they shouldn't really touch. they're great.
baby wipes?you are joking mate that aint never gone get 10years of crap off my engine!!!
