Yes it has all bee in in bits.

Every gasket, seal and o ring has been replaced and then put back together.

Been busy with neil today, re assembling the engine.

started like this

then the sump was replaced after cleaning and putting the oil pump and feed back together.

Then we had a look at the new cams

A comparison between new and old

test fitting

with the cams fitted and pulleys. replacing the water pump and all tensioners

cam covers and oil cap replaced

transfeered the manifold bolts and refitted the alternator bracket

looks like a great build...

Can i ask why Blue? Not saying it looks shit or anything just the rest of your car has no blue anywhere near it or are you thinking of blue samco in places?
as above im also intreaged?

looks well tho mate and ground is defo being made
I've always liked the look of blue engine blocks.

it just screams out, "this engine has had some time spent on it"

that and the blue samco hoses Icon_smile
paint the sump red and it will be french colours Icon_wink

looks spot on tho mate loving the blue !
im impressed mate i really am its ace. are you gonna be ready for nationals with it then ?
Erm

yeah should be...

Garage got flooded today though, so all my floor is wet. Gotta wait for it to dry out now Icon_sad

my heater is going 10 t'dozen atm to help the drying.

On the plus side, got the alternator & it's assembly cleaned/painted & fitted.

Denso Iridium plug and coilpack were put back on too.
oh good good carnt wait for the finished thing
Driveshafts are now out of the old engine.

Just need to pick up the engine hoist and the old engine should be out hopefulyl by wednesday.
