may be of interest to some people, i dunno lol.
today we went into uni to do a practical seesion, which is a rare occasion nowadays lol, normally just maths!
this is for an assignment so had to be done carefully, due to a limited background of actually working on competition cars.
here it is, its a chevron formula 3 car:
![[Image: DSCF1060.jpg]](http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i58/saxslo/DSCF1060.jpg)
2ltr 16v toyota engine, slide throttle, 190bhp with airflow restrictor, will produce 220bhp with no restrictor. 0-60 roughly 3.2 seconds, 60-100mph 2seconds!
![[Image: DSCF1055.jpg]](http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i58/saxslo/DSCF1055.jpg)
5sp manual sequential gearbox, limited slip differential, and twin plate paddle clutch
![[Image: DSCF1056.jpg]](http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i58/saxslo/DSCF1056.jpg)
cant remeber the weight, but its less than 450kg, so around 400bhp/ton
so todays exercise was to do a chassis set up, very basic, just set up to manufacturers specs. most stuff had been adjusted up incorrectly just to make it abit harder for us. thanks.
first of all the car had to be on flat ground, and the tyre pressures all correct, 14psi on the front, 16 on the rear (cold pressure)
getting the tracking right: back to 20minutes toe in.
(minutes are a measurment of degrees, 60minutes = 1degree)

![[Image: DSCF1061.jpg]](http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i58/saxslo/DSCF1061.jpg)
![[Image: DSCF1063.jpg]](http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i58/saxslo/DSCF1063.jpg)
getting the camber/castor angles back right, running 3degrees negative camber:
