I have a budget of £200
I would like to purchase a sub, 6 x 9 speakers and a headunit? With a separate amp to run of the sub.
Specifications:
The headunit must include, front usb and most importantly REAR aux input, plus as many pre-outs as possible.
I would also like to be able to control the sub’s base from the front of the car with a Remote Bass Control Knob, so if the sub is running of a separate amp, this must be made possible?
Please may you suggest what you would purchase?
Thanks
Jamie
good luck... for a headunit with a usb your looking at atleast half your budget
tbh mate you've brought this up before and youll get the same answer. for everything you want and the budget i wouldnt waste my time, save your money and get something decent why not spend £200 on a head unit then work towards it , cos if you buy all that for £200 its gonna sound shit and youll be dissapointed and then wanting something more therefore spending more.
and this is serious advice and im sure other people will agree
or you can just ignore my advice and go and buy a 10000w amp for a 50quid then come on hear moaning it sounds shit
SERIOUS ADVICE GIVEN..... (why are we shouting?)
1 - Don't buy 6x9s, a component set (in the front) & a sub are the way forward.
2 - Do as Ant suggested, buy a good headunit & maybe your front end speakers. When money allows, expand the system to include a sub & amp(s).
3 - Don't buy off of the internet, they'll sell you what they can best make money on, as there's no real come back. You clearly need advice, go talk to experts. Everyone will tell you they know best, so you'll have to make your own mind up who you listen to. I always listen to Paul at Source. He doesn't sell on-line as he's interested in keeping his reputation intact.
maybe if you increase the budget you will have a bit more chance of gettin a good system, not just a load of speakers...
quality comes at a cost, and if you spend peanuts expect to get poor sound.
To be fair headunit for about £100
5/6 channel amp £120-£150
6x9`s-pioneers more than likely, best sound per ££`s(as far as reasonably priced 6x9`s and average power amps go) upto about £40
6.5in coaxials for the front to around £50,2/3way up to you at this price, although ya can get components wouldnt bother-cheap components arent worth buying.
10/12in sub in carpeted box probably looking at around £100
This is without a quality rca lead/amp power cables and on a set up using one amp wouldnt compromise on either-amp wiring kits just do the job they`re in no way a quality product,up to you at the end of the day-easy to run up a sizeable car audio bill even on average stuff an stuffs a lot cheaper now than it were when i were into it,1 set of components cost me £220 as an example-reckon i spent around £400 on cabling beit rca`s power lead and speaker wire-were easy done an i werent using the best stuff just good.
ya not get fuk all for £200. even them shitty fusion packages are bout that and ya dont even get a headunit with it.
My subs, components and amp cost £200 of HJ which I fell REALLY lucky with and I still need a new headunit and bigger amp to run the subs. About another £500 for just them 2. So with £200 you won't get all what ya want.
Ya can have my Mutant sub for a tenner though lol

again with the 6x9s, please don't encourage him!
