Hi, my name's Chris, 21, moved to Mansfield a few years ago but been at Uni in Lincoln for the past 3.
Got back from Uni a few weeks ago and bored off my nut. Always admired modified cars (the one's done properly anyway), so thought I'd have a look into the modified scene in Mansfield and you wonderful lot showed up.

I used to have a 1.1L Seicento Sporting Micheal Shumacher LE, I loved it but could feel myself starting to drive like a dick, so for everyone's safetly I realised a long dream and went for something a tad, slower...

This is Bert, not quite your usual modified motor but I love it:

Mods so far:
Black Rims
Chequer plate wing-tops
Cobra bucket seats
2.8L Turbo diesel transplant from a Daihatsu Fourtrak
Fitted a radio (old one didn't work, and if it had there were no speakers so I'm not quite sure what they were trying to achieve there)
Pirate flags (England flag snapped off on my way back from its MOT no less, had it on because there was a high population of Polish where I lived at Uni...)
and current mod is a new sound system:
2x 10" 1000W (350rms) Pioneer subs powered by a HiFonics ZS-6400 amp
Lanzar mids and tweeters powered by a HiFonics ZS-4000
Pic 1, Pic 2.

Planned:
Not sure. The front and rear halves of my exhaust recently parted company, very near the back silencer, so I think a straight through replacement pipe is called for. What'll be louder? Engine or stereo?
Also thought about slamming it and a custom body kit, doubt it's ever been done but there's a first time for everything. Have my reserves though, the old lad's nearly 20 years old now and I fear he's not long for this world, so I'm reluctant to plough too much into it...

So, if you don't mind me joining you guys one night, I may well see you soon.

Never, actually. The tow bar would probably come off due to rust if I tried towing anything Icon_rolleyes
