Mantorp park in Sweden has a chicane at the end of track where the strip meets the circuit, Top Fuel cars such as the one in the above vid have to navigate it at 80-100mph sometimes....not fun in a car that's 24 feet long

I understand about the circuit being more suitable for certain cars, it's the "how hard can it be" attitude of some people that makes me chuckle. Especially after the NHRA have shortened the tracks to 1000ft in the States now in the wake of a 2x World Champ passing away a couple of weeks back due to a horrific accident.....it's only a straight line though eh?

straight line, but at very very high speeds top end.

one of the main reasons why track days are so popular as there very slim chance of hurting yourself never mind dying(unless simon norris is on the track)

Well, yeah

It's one of the biggest shames about the barn at Santa Pod getting demolished, as now people are unable to stand behind and see that even though the track is straight, the direction of travel definitely isn't!
