Okay, I dont think i understand your excellent grammer. I digess however back to the Bolf.

I was reading the current issue of Performance VW and a few sections of the said magazine highlight the "controversy" floating around the modified car scene at the moment concerning the legallity and safety of stretching tyres.

From what I can gather there are no legal issues but generally they are seen to be as "unsafe" modifications, relating to the stress put on the tyres by stretching them.

My point of this thread is what if any oppinions do people on this site have concerning this mod.

I think it looks sweet by the way and think its one of the best looks at the moment and the stance of your Bolf also has is amazing too. I will deffinetly be doing it to my "SHITE" Dub

nah no dangers with stretch so long as you dont go too mad and even then ive never heard of a single issue/incadent with them tbh mate,

i have heard of one mishap with some guy running 185's a on 9inch wide rim = huge stretch.

apparently he cornereed too quickly and it pulled the tyre of the rim, no damage done, but he gained a flat tyre!

i do believe there is no current law against it, but i hear of varried MOT testers opinions as to if its safe or not.

also, not that it realy applys to anyone runnig stretched tyres, it makes the handling shite, and 'fun' in the wet!

If you not read the newest issue, read it. Speciffically the section concerning one of the writers bolf. He has a mad stretch on some schidmt wheels. He apprently put pix on a vw site and some gonk saw the pics put them on a "Pi@~£$head thread concerning the euro look and then someone else put it on a Actual Police forum ie Grassing him up, Police were not apprantly bothered though as there are supposedly no legal issues concerning them YET....

where did you get the tyres fitted if you dont mind me asking, and how much

my ate sorted it for me in retford, cost me £30

quick update,

spent 2 days cleaning every possible thing (well within reason) on her including the back box which came up a treat to say it was blackish grey to start with,
cv boot is buggered and is being sorted tomorrow along with the major wheel wobble which may be down to that,
