does anyone know of a local acid/chemical dippers?
i need a set of wheels doing fairly soon and i want them back to bare metal before prep and paint.
also if anyone has got a rough idea of cost that would be great. if its much more than 10quid a wheel id rather spend ages sanding them instead.
Theres a place in Kirkby does them, down the back of the first few shops off Kingsway on the right hand side. He mainly does furniture but he did me a set for £30.

If it doesn't have to be acid, WH Paint in Mansfield do bead blasting for £15 a rim mate. They did mine not so long back and they came up shit hot. For £25 quid each they'll blast then powder coat them too.

I had a set done at that place in kirkby too, it's on the same street as the main entrance to Kirkby Centre (one way street accross from a computer shop on kingsway) can't remember how much it was but pretty sure it was more than £10 a rim a few years back.

i doubt he will do acid dipping jess, its more of an engineering, industrial process rather than just for alloy wheels.
