at a guess u will not need much more than 1m square sheet of stainless to do both jobs. depending on how much u are willing to spend depends on the type of finish. i noticed theres some really nice mirror finish stuff on ebay but its not cheap compared to brushed stainless.
i am trying to get the measurements asap.
