The recomended grade is a 5w-30, go for a good synthetic one and it will be fine with plenty of use and abuse.

Look at Motul and Amsoil.

5w-40 synthetic is ideal for all year round use, for the gearbox 75w-90 or 75w-80. I would have a look at Fuchs, Motul, Silkolene and Redline.
