mush_xemmax Wrote:You know the rules about number plates and how the police are towards us all in town, they target us and will pull us for anything. If you have an illegal number plate on your car that is your fault, so don't moan if you get pulled over and get a fine. Save the illegal plates for the shows.

I know Hayley didn't get a fine.

ive been pulled and warned but never fined for my plates but too be fair i carnt be bothered to change em you can read them end of

mikey shaw
If you've got illegal plates you know you're doing wrong and are bound to get pulled for it just because of the type of car's we drive. I've been pulled because my headlights "looked" red from behind, it was just an excuse to do a full check of the car.
Matty Wrote:As for illegal plates, don't do it kids, I've learnt now, well after I added up I had received around £180 worth of fines on number plates alone.

At last someone has seen sense.

Anyone thats got non std plates will end up lining pockets of the local constabulary.

IMO an nice set of GB plates looks miles better
i got pulled in the Punto for the Motorbike square plate twice so that cost me £60

The second time they tried to tell me that it should be in the center too, but obv i argued my case, prob why i got fined and he was just a copper on foot!

I admit my front plate on the Nissan is too small, but its standard font, cheap tacky itallic bollock fonts look shit...i do keep my big plate under my front seat just in case though but i will keep the illegal one on as it looks soo much cooler!
I didnt get a fine for mine, just got told to swap em. Mine were in normal font and size.
They are also illegal if the plate does not have a valid printers postcode on them but by the sounds of it that law has been suspended at the moment
Like has already been said...if you don't have legal plates on (and you will know it) you can't bitch and moan when you get fined for it.
You don't want a fine - don't have them on the car!

If someone was to do a hit and run on your car and witnesses/CCTV couldn't identify because of illegal plates/no plates I'll bet there isn't one person on here who wouldn't whine like a little girl about it (no offense to you ladies!!).
The copper said to me it was because the cameras in the Volvo traffice cop cars can not read the font on my plates...

And as i said i will just change mine... but he didnt fine me he said he just wanted me to change them...

So be warned peeps
