i have the clocks and there on there i was wondering if there a way of reseting the mileage on the clocks as its pretty high

any help would be great
are they mechanical?

i just took the escort ones to bits & pushed them round. lol.

the dude was well happy that wanted them.
i think they should be mechanical so should be dead easy to do.

getting a motor tomorrow Icon_smile

When I had my old Sierra, the ratchet type mechanism for the mileage display wasn't working so the mileage would drop in reverse...........before I sold it I stuck a drill on the speedo cable and span it back about 30,000 Icon_lol

Good ol' Ford!

I thought that this method was am myth!! Icon_lol

Awesome!!!

It's supposed to be impossible due to the setup in the cluster, but if it fails then the speedo cable direction goes "direct drive" to the display. Icon_lol

Same thing happened to my mates AX GT years ago; when he reversed the speedo tried moving backwards and the mileage went back a bit Icon_lol
Hahha mega Icon_lol
all done reset to 000000 Icon_biggrin
Isn't that a bit obvious though? Does that not mean it looks like it hasn't done any miles at all?

errr....yes Icon_rolleyes

okay okay no need to take the mic I just thought it might be a bit obvious that's it's been reset that's all.
i believe it's illigel to misrepresent mileage on a car. not to reset the clocks.

i'm on about my 5th set of clocks in the escort!
and not going in my car so nothing to do with me in about 2 days when they gone so i dont care
